In the never-ending battle against housework, your children could be your secret weapon

KING'S LYNN, U.K. - July 26, 2019 - PRLog -- Ok, so they are usually the ones causing the mess. But it doesn't take too much imagination to turn the little ones into a well-oiled cleaning machine.

If the thought of handing your young children a bottle of cleaning spray fills you with dread, you're right to worry. But natural cleaning expert Bella Middleton says that there are enough child-friendly alternatives to that bottle of bleach.

"Children love making potions and they love playing make-believe. So help them mix white vinegar, water and lemon juice to create a basic but surprisingly effective cleaning spray that will rival most of the chemicals you can buy down the cleaning aisle" says mum-of-three Bella, who founded the plant-based cleaning company Norfolk Natural Living.

And how do you convince them to actually clean with their new toy? Bella says it's about making it part of their routine.

"Children need routine. You need to get the housework done. So bring the two together. If you make it fun, like a race to see who can clean their counter the quickest or whether they can wipe down every windowsill before you finish vacuuming the lounge, they will start to enjoy the attention it gives them".
