Virtro Entertainment Announces Selection for Oculus Launch Pad 2018

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - July 18, 2019 - PRLog -- Virtro Entertainment, the leading immersive media studio, announces that they've been selected as one of Oculus Launch Pad Scholarship 2018 winners for their social impact VR & AI project Argotian. With over 100 applicants at last year's boot camp event, Oculus Launch Pad is a program that supports emerging VR content creators from diverse backgrounds and helps to bring their creative ideas to market. The event took place in Menlo Park, CA in June and after a further 5 months of prototyping, Oculus decided to award Argotian one of their prestigious Launch Pad funding scholarships.

Argotian is a conversational language learning game that uses the smarts of AI and the immersiveness of VR to give students a tailored learning experience. Learners must work to solve mysteries on Argotian's Starship, while at the same time practicing and improving their language skills. Action within the game is activated using voice control and learners can speak with AI characters in real-time and receive unscripted responses.
