Roster is loaded with Murray leading the charge. Suiting up alongside Murray will be ex-NBA & UVA player Sean Singletary, formerly Phoenix Suns & Charlotte Bobcats. G-League & Samford U player, Brandon Austin is named, along with ex-NBA Summer League player for Phila 76ers & Portland Trailblazers, Mike Green. Mike Cuffee, Pro & former G-League player is also on the team. Bilal Ben, Overseas Pro & former Villanova & Niagara star is named. Corey Bethea, Overseas Pro & WVU player is in. Pro & former Rosemont standout, Marcus Thomas, is on the roster. Pro & James Madison Dukes player, Taylor Bessick, is on the team. Jaisan Wilmore, a student at Salem CC (JUCO track), hitting 50+ in a recent college game, is also on the team. Finally, former Pro Abdur Scott & Greg BigFella Cannon bring "big man" element needed to win. Saturday July 20 is first game at Gersh Park, NY. Sunday July 21, is scheduled at Hoops in the Sun, Bronx, NY. The following weekend is at DC, Inside Da Gates against The Goodman League.More dates coming for August Looking forward to the first of many exciting Flip Murray Pro-Am Travel Teams. With the loaded team as it stands, the scheduled games are sure to be exciting. This feels like the start of something major between the cities involved. ABOUT FLIP MURRAY An inspiration to his peers and many who have followed after him, Ronald "Flip Murray" is Philadelphia's own basketball legend. Growing up in the tough streets of North Philadelphia, Murray began wowing his teammates and spectators with his basketball skills at Strawberry Mansion High. After going through community college, Murray went on to play with Shaw University, in North Carolina, where he made huge impact. In his senior year, he won won National MVP award of al DII Colleges, and was 46th pick in the subsequent NBA draft. Murray went on to play a successful 8 years in the NBA for Seattle Sonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Bobcats, and the Chicago Bulls. He was also the NBA D-League champion in 2012, and the NABC Division II Player of the Year in 2002. In Philadelphia, Flip Murray is otherwise referred to as "The GOAT".
