"We had considered opening our own business and, honestly, what got us thinking about Home Helpers was our own parents. They are getting older and they are starting to need a little support doing the things they used to do on their own and, as we started looking into resources to help, we realized there was a need in this community for a professional, compassionate in-home care service. We are looking forward to serving the community by providing this resource and bringing together the best caregivers," Home Helpers offers free in-home consultations and works with each client to create a flexible, affordable care plan based on a person's individual needs. Services offered include care such as grooming, bathing, ambulation, medication management and care management as well as respite care, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, companionship and transportation. Home Helpers specializes in helping families care for their loved ones so they can focus on spending quality time together. Home Helpers' full-range of home care services empower clients to live healthier and more rewarding lives in the privacy, safety and comfort of their own homes. "Being an only child, I'm finding myself worrying about my parents and their care when I am away from them. It's hard to see my mom and dad getting slower as they get older. When my mom had surgery, I was frantically googling and looking for after surgical home help from an experienced agency to help after I had to leave. I wanted a caregiver who would care for mom as a mom and not just as another patient. That's what we love about Home Helpers – we are more than an in-home health care agency, we are your extended family when family can't be there," Namrata said. Namrata is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and, after graduation, pursued her healthcare passion by getting a Respiratory Therapy degree. She is now a Nationally Licensed Respiratory Therapist with more than 17 years of critical care experience working in a premier hospital in Atlanta. She also holds a CNA license and a certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and she recently transitioned into the role of Asthma Educator role at the same hospital. Namrata has received numerous acknowledgements of 'Excellence in Patient Care' from her patients and their families and she's looking forward to leveraging her professional experience in providing compassionate and skilled care to members of her community.
