Discover Meadow Gold District - Q&A with EveryOne Yoga School

TULSA, Okla. - May 14, 2019 - PRLog -- EveryOne Yoga School brings a new dimension of training to the city of Tulsa, right in the heart of the Meadow Gold District. Founder and director Mandy Eubanks wanted to create an environment that felt welcoming to everyone, no matter their skill set or background. EveryOne Yoga School educates, inspires, and supports students and teachers of yoga through a series of trainings and classes that are founded on these core values: to learn, grow, teach, practice, study, and serve others.

1. What inspired you to start your business?

After 10 + years of teaching yoga in studios and yoga teacher trainings, opening my own school seemed like the natural next step for me.

2. How did you develop the concept for your business?

Initially, EYS was just a registered yoga school and state licensed vocational school. We have 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher training programs plus continuing education opportunities for teachers. The students in our teacher training program kept asking when we would start offering drop-in classes, so we now offer 14+ classes a week where anyone - not just teachers - can enjoy our space.

3. How did you come up with the name for your business?

Our training programs are comprehensive and we do not focus on strict alignment rules or sequences. Rather, we focus on making yoga accessible to diverse people by focusing on safe and effective yoga practices. Essentially, I want everyone to experience the benefits of yoga and we do our best to make that possible in our training programs and public classes.

4. What products and services are your business known for?

I think we are best known for being a yoga school that trains teachers. The word is starting to get out that we now have classes for EveryOne. I don't want people to feel intimidated who come to a yoga school that trains yoga teachers. Rather, I want people to know they are getting a class that is lead by an expert teacher who knows how to deliver a safe class in a non-judgmental space. We really are here to help!

5. What makes your business unique and sets you apart?

This is a hard question for me to answer! There are so many great studios in Tulsa and many of the EYS teachers instruct at other studios. However, I think what makes us special is that our teaching team. I don't know of any other studio that has a team of RYT 500 teachers that also have specialty certifications, such as trauma informed yoga, pre-natal, etc. As the director of the school, I have made this a requirement to ensure that all of our classes are in alignment with our vision of delivering safe and effective yoga practices.

6. Was being set on Historic Route 66 an initial goal for your business?

Not so much a goal as the space fell into my lap, but I immediately fell in love with the idea of being on Rt. 66 and being located on this "vein."

7. What's your favorite part of being located in the Meadow Gold District area of Route 66 in Tulsa?

I love being a part of something that is blossoming! It's been fun to see the area improve over the past year and I very much look forward to its progress.

8. What would you consider to be the biggest achievement for your business?

When people say they feel better after class or they bring a family member or friend. Positive feedback is really motivating for me and I thrive off it! Knowing that Everyone Yoga School's purpose is working is my biggest success.

9. What do you see in the future for your business?

I see the whole yoga industry shifting right now! It's an exciting time and a lot of studios are trying their best to be inclusive and welcoming to EveryOne. It's exciting to be a part of this movement!
