HYDERABAD, India - May 10, 2019 - PRLog -- A survey conducted by a reputed immigration lawyer firm, Neumann, in USA has found that the granting of EAD (employment authorization) of H-4 visa holders, who are the dependent spouses of H1B workers does not adversely affect either wages or employment rates for US citizens or permanent residents.

The survey found that more than half of the H4 EAD visa recipients who opt for US immigration along with their H1B spouses, hold a post graduate or higher qualification. On the contrary, only 13 percent of US citizens hold a Masters degree.  As a result, the H4-EAD visa allows employers in USA to find more avenues to attract and retain international worker with high skill sets. According to the survey, it is evident that the impact of allowing H4 visa holders to work in USA would be positive as it would further strengthen the US economy.

The survey which was conducted online with a sample size of 10,000 respondents, who were selected from across the United States, found that the H-4 dependent spouses, were working in jobs at high skilled levels of expertise and were not in general a threat to American workers either in terms of employment or wages. The EAD rule, which was put in place during the Obama administration has faced many adversaries and has been bitterly contested ever since its inception. The current administration led by Donald Trump has been trying hard to introduce policies to circumvent or do away with the rule all together.

The survey also found that implementing the EAD does not cause any additional costs to be incurred by the government of United States or concurrently the tax payers. Applicants for the visa are charged a fee for the same to cover the costs of processing the visa.

The survey concludes by saying that EAD visa helps to retain highly skilled workers who  make an important contribution to the economy after opting for US immigration (https://globaltree.in/services/immigration/united-states-...) and also lead many advances in research and development"
