Wirral Council GIS and IT teams migrate to PostGIS
Cadcorp PostGIS database training assists Wirral Council in migrating spatial data
Cadcorp delivered its 'Using PostGIS with Cadcorp SIS' training course at Wirral Council. The course guides system administrators through the process of managing spatial data, installing and configuring the PostGIS database, and loading data into the desktop GIS and web mapping applications. The Council's GIS and IT system administrators attended the course.
Vikki Chapman, GI and Mapping Officer at Wirral Council commented: "The course really helped us to quickly get to grips with PostGreSQL with the PostGIS extension. What we learned in just one day will be vital as we migrate data from our existing spatial data store."
Cadcorp training covers a broad range of GIS and web mapping topics, and provides in-depth coverage of Cadcorp products and development environments. For more information, visit http://cdcp.io/
