Authored by David DeRose, MD, MPH, a new book, "The Methuselah Factor: Learn How to Live Sharper, Leaner, Longer, and Better—in Thirty Days or Less," distills the science of hemorheology into practical steps that anyone can take to a healthier future. Readers learn how to make simple changes to their diet, exercise habits, approach to stress, and use of supplements to help them on a path to better blood fluidity.
When asked about the book's title, Dr. DeRose explains: " 'The Methuselah Factor' is the term I use for hemorheology. The name is derived from the longest-lived character in Middle Eastern literature, whom I'm convinced must have had very good blood fluidity in view of his longevity."
DeRose also shared some honest reflections regarding his book that has already found itself listed as Amazon Kindle's "#1 New Release in Preventive Medicine": "In medical school we were warned that if something 'helped everything' it was likely all hype. Applying the science of hemorheology is not a panacea, but it helps so many things, it does leave the casual thinker wondering. Nonetheless, for many years I have seen patients make dramatic progress in a short time by applying Methuselah Factor principles. My new book helps people harness these principles in an easy-to-use, 30-day program. Each day I give readers a simple, practical task, calculated to improve their health and performance in one month or less. I encourage skeptics to read and apply the principles in the book—I think those who are honest will be pleasantly surprised."
Dr. DeRose is currently traveling throughout the U.S. sharing with communities the power of harnessing "The Methuselah Factor." After speaking at several venues in Central Florida, he has engagements in Northern California and Colorado including Pagosa Springs (Thursday evening, March 21).
