Local PODS® and KHAY Country to help one lucky winner spring in to cleaning their messiest garage
By: Local PODS Moving and Storage
Starting Feb. 25, residents can submit a photo or a short description of their messiest and cluttered garage to KHAY.com for a chance to win. The grand prize winner will receive 6 months of free storage provided by PODS as well as a $250 home improvement gift card to help organize their garage.
"As true champions of the Ventura County community, we love to help those in need and what better way than to give a lucky resident free storage for six months so they can get started on clearing out their clutter," states Steve Yapp, owner of local PODS moving and storage. "PODS is the perfect storage solution to help alleviate the stress and kickstart any spring cleaning you have planned."
In addition, PODS is offering some helpful tips to residents to jump into spring cleaning and organize their cluttered garages.
· Get organized. Divide the garage into zones: Storage Zone, Charity Zone, Garage Sale Zone and Trash Zone. Relocate zoned items to a PODS container while de-cluttering and focus on the items to sell on National Garage Sale Day.
· If you don't use it, sell it. People often hold onto items that they do not need. Organize your belongings by sentimental value and prune the items you are unsure of. PODS offers secure, climate controlled warehouses to store those sentimental items you are not ready to part with.
· Anything that doesn't sell can be donated to charity. Make a trip to your nearest Goodwill, Salvation Army, thrift store or donation bin and donate the items. You never know who may be able to use the unwanted items you have leftover.
· Keep it tidy. Set some ground rules now that the garage is clean. These rules include keeping the parking area free from clutter. Sporting equipment and tools should be stored off the floor and in cabinets to keep the garage free from chaos
"We love helping homeowners kick start their spring cleaning," explains Rose Larson, customer service specialist at PODS moving and storage. "Our PODS containers hold and organize a lot of clutter! Plus we are offering extra spring savings along with our $175 BUNDLE offer, for local storage customers."
