READING, Mass. - Feb. 18, 2019 - PRLog -- On Sunday February 10, 2019 local business owner, Carlo Bacci kicked off his campaign for Select Board at Fusilli's Cucina on Main Street in Reading. Carlo Bacci isn't a politician, he's never had political aspirations, he's frustrated.  "I'm frustrated with certain members of the current Select Board, I want government to work for us not against us and we need to support our Main Street businesses to bring more people to our community to increase our tax base," Bacci opened with. "We don't need more committees to form committees, we need our elected officials to do their job; the Select Board needs to balance the needs of the whole community. The override provided much needed funding for town and school services and caused a hardship on elder families on fixed incomes. The senior tax relief helps less then 5% of our elderly population."

Carlo Bacci is the son of Italian immigrants and first in his family to graduate high school and college. He's a 30 year small business owner/advocate willing to bring a common sense approach to growing the Reading tax base. Bacci is a volunteer business mentor with the City of Lynn nonprofit EforAll and a coach with Reading Youth Soccer, "We need sustainable solutions to support the needs of the whole community. Education costs and healthcare costs continue to rise, yet we receive less money from the Federal Government which means less money is available from the State Government. As a business owner these are similar issues I deal with everyday and I will bring that experience with a willingness to roll up my sleeves and get to work approach."

Carlo Bacci formally owned The Chocolate Truffle which they moved to Reading from Woburn in 2006 and then sold the business in 2015. He owns and operates with his wife Erin Calvo-Bacci the small chocolate manufacturer Bacci Chocolate Design. Bacci has called Reading his home since 2009 with his wife and their three daughters Abigail, Sarah and Sofia.

Please vote for Carlo Bacci on APRIL 2, 2019 to move Reading Forward with balance and common sense.
