Popular LGBTQ Series, The Reason 22 -Year - Old Woman Doesn't Commit Suicide

NEW YORK - Feb. 7, 2019 - PRLog -- Wednesday, a 22-year-old woman contacted The ON! Channel, a fast growing Netflix like streaming service, to explain how one of its series/shows, "Pride Wives of Dallas", had saved her life.

"I was planning on killing myself this week," said the woman who wished to remain anonymous. She continued, "Since coming out, I've lost almost everyone that had meant anything to me.  My parents won't talk to me and my closest friends seem to be afraid to be seen with me. I thought I'd have all their love and support, but as it turns out, being  LGBT still comes with a stigma that they couldn't handle.

Don't get me wrong, not everyone turned their backs on me, however those that did hurt me to the point of depression. I've said all that to say that I couldn't handle it and wanted to...planned to die. It was then that I saw a post on facebook about The PRIDE WIVES of DALLAS special round table episode.  I had never heard of the show or The ON! Channel, but seeing these woman, who looked like me, willing to share their experiences made me want to tune in.  Watching that show made me want to live...made me feel better about who I was and my choices," she said.

Maurice W, the CEO and Founder of The ON! Channel said the call shook him deeply, but made him happy that the show was available, so much so, that he decided to not only have it on The ON! Channel, but to also put it on facebook, youtube, and Vimeo so that more people can watch it.

"I lost a friend this week, actor Kristoff St. John, and me, myself have suffered depression at a time, so I may not understand what it means to be LGBTQ in America, I do know what it means to be at a place where you don't feel you can go on. Of course that's not saying that all LGBTQ people feel the way, however, Society doesn't make it easy sometimes. I mean, just look at the news.  Kids committing suicide after being cyber bullied, Grown men and woman being ridicules teased or assaulted. These kind of stories are nothing new. Look at what just happened to Jussie Smollett.  I read stories everyday about Transgender and LGBT teens and adults being harassed, assaulted, and bullied and when we look at what is being done to help these people, we realize not much is.  When I watched the Round Table Episode of Pride Wives of Dallas, a show that happens to be our most watched show to date, I knew that this show could touch lives.  Honestly I knew it when I first saw the series."

Maurice added in closing "Tracy Woodburry Chester and Angela C. Chester, Executive Producers of The Pride Wives of Dallas knew what they were creating when they and their team created Pride Wives of Dallas. They that this show would touch lives and maybe even save some...and for at least one person, that's exactly what it did.

"Pride Wives of Dallas" follows a group of married or recently divorced, professional LGBT women living their Lives OUT Loud in a not so accepting southern environment. "Pride Wives" where The Real Housewives meets, Love and Hip Hop with a mix of The L Word.
