ORLANDO, Fla. - Jan. 31, 2019 - PRLog -- NeoMetrix Technologies, Inc., a proven provider of solutions for 3D scanning and 3D printing is announcing a new contest to promote the use of 3D printing for design, engineering and manufacturing.

As a long time user and promoter of this technology, NeoMetrix would like to spread the word regarding the variety of applications for which 3D printing can be employed.  Although 3D printing has been used for rapid prototyping for over 2 decades, it is now being employed for several other applications:

• Jigs and Fixtures
• Injection Molding
• End-Use Parts
• Patterns for Casting
• Robot End Effectors

• Functional Prototypes

Contest rules are simple.  Visit the link at the end of this article to upload your contact information and your CAD file.  Designs should not be confidential or subject to non-disclosure agreements.

Each submission will be evaluated by our panel of experts according to the following criteria:

• Practicality
• Suitability for 3D Printing
• Creativity – Uniqueness of the Application
• Aesthetics

Winners will be selected for each material category:

• Plastics
• Metals
• Composites

The deadline for submission is February 28, 2019.
