Positive Arts Movement to Perform at Global Human Trafficking Summit
The Positive Arts Movement has been confirmed to feature vignettes in a Global Summit Human Trafficking hosted by Hartsfield International Airport at the Georgia International Convention Center on January 29, 2019
Performers include Slam Williams, Nikki Gray, Cha Cha Martin, and Reginald Cason.
Atlanta's Positive Arts Movement developed the stage production after an encounter with a human trafficking survivor. Since its inception, the production has traveled to various venues around the country, has been featured at several conventions, schools, places of worship, and won several awards.
"Our production extends itself beyond the stage. We also host educational workshops to address other issues presented in the play to include peer pressure, statistics, images in media, positive self-image, and the grooming process associated with abusive relationships"
Future dates in Clayton, Rockdale, Gwinnett and other counties in the Atlanta metro area are anticipated in the next several months and the producers are requesting community support.
