Confirmation of FINRA Award Recommending Form U5 Expungement

NEW YORK - Jan. 29, 2019 - PRLog -- Imbesi Law's client sought expungement of his Form U5, seeking to remove the reason for termination and subsequent disclosures from his former broker-dealer employer. A panel of three FINRA arbitrators awarded Imbesi Law's client expungement, recommending that the reason for termination on his Form U5 be changed to "voluntary" and the termination explanation be removed and appear blank. The panel further recommended that the answers to disclosure questions 7B and 7F(1) on the Form U5 be changed from "Yes" to "No" and that the accompanying Disclosure Reporting Pages be deleted in their entirety.

On January 17, 2019, Honorable Barry R. Ostrager of the Supreme Court of the State of New York confirmed the arbitration award. Judge Ostrager ordered that the language on the client's Form U5 be expunged pursuant to the FINRA arbitration award.
