Gravity Diagnostics Announces Scientific Advisory Board

COVINGTON, Ky. - Nov. 13, 2018 - PRLog -- Gravity Diagnostics is proud to introduce its Scientific Advisory Board. Each expert on the board brings a unique perspective to forward the company's mission of reducing drug abuse and the addiction of controlled substances.

Below are the members of our Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr. Miriam Boeri received her doctorate of philosophy from Georgia State University in 2002. As associate professor of sociology at Bentley University, she researches individuals who have problems due to drug use with a focus on their social environments. By examining the intersection of socio-economic status, race, gender, and social capital over the life course, Boeri aims to reduce the adverse health effects associated with drug use and the harmful social impact of current drug policy. With funding from the National Institutes of Health, her current research on opioid use collects life stories from people who are misusing prescription opiates and/or heroin to better understand the complex influences on their use trajectories.

Dr. Garland Greenereceived his medical degree from Wake Forest University in North Carolina. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA. He has a unique background bringing over 30 years of medical experience in providing comprehensive pain and addiction management in his clinic.

Dr. Kathleen Jagger earned a BS in Zoology from DePauw University, a PhD in Microbiology from University of Cincinnati and an MPH in International Health from Harvard University. Dr. Jagger is the current interim president of Thomas More University. She began her academic career as a faculty member at Wright State University Medical School. She has published in the areas of mechanisms of microbial diseases, improving science education and incorporating ethics into undergraduate biology curricula.

Dr. Carla Saunders, RN, DNPhas been a board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner since 1991, receiving her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2017. Dr. Saunders has a dedicated passion in her work advocating for mothers and babies affected by the opioid epidemic. Dr. Saunders has worked to establish C.O.A.C.H. TN, a non-profit organization, Controlling Opioid Abuse through Collaborative Healthcare. She is a member of the advisory board for the Tennessee Chronic Pain Guidelines, authoring appendices for Women of Childbearing Age and Pregnant Women, and recently authored a book chapter on Opioid Use Disorder During Pregnancy and NAS for the ASHP.

Dr. Christopher Skipwithhas a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania, and was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Northeastern University and Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT. Dr. Skipwith is an Assistant Professor of Biotechnology in the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at Bentley University and a Member of Bentley's Health Thought Leadership Network.

Dr. Samantha Langley-Turnbaughearned her Ph.D. in Forest Soils from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, her M.S. in Soil Science from the University of New Hampshire, and her Bachelor of Science in Forest Engineering from the University of Maine. She currently serves as vice provost for graduate education, research and outreach at Northern Kentucky University. As Vice Provost, she is instrumental in the implementation of the NKU strategic plan.
