NEW YORK - Nov. 8, 2018 - PRLog -- Rock Star Journalist/World Star PR Co-Founder Eileen Shapiro has just been named  the new A&R Representative for the legendary TRAX Records, working with the "Queen Of House" music Screamin' Rachael (Rachael Cain).

Trax Records is a legendary house music record label based in Chicago. It played a major part in the development of house music with records such as Jamie Principle & Frankie Knuckles's "Your Love."

Larry Sherman began operations in 1983 by purchasing Musical Products, then Larry and Jesse Saunders, co-founded Trax Records in late 1984. The label design and initial artist signings were done by Vince Lawrence. The first release was "Wanna Dance/Certainly" by Le Noiz (a pseudonym of Jesse Saunders, TX-101 (matrix number 85 indicated the year of release). Trax Records may be best known for inventing the squelchy acid-house sound on tracks like "Dream Girl" and "Acid Tracks."

Trax was an important outlet for house music in its early days, releasing many classics including "No Way Back" by Adonis, Larry Heard's "Can You Feel It," and the first so-called house anthem in 1986, "Move Your Body" by Marshall Jefferson. This latter tune gave a massive boost to house music, extending recognition of the genre outside of Chicago.

In 2007, Rachael Cain, an associate of Sherman who released music under the alias Screamin' Rachael, revived the label. She is known as the "Queen of House" music and is one of the most influential people within the genre. Artist Jorge Cruz  joined as a creative director in 2009, and the label has gone on to make their back catalogue available on Bandcamp.

Eileen Shapiro is a world-renown rock star journalist  who has interviewed the biggest artists on the planet, including Diana Ross, Annie Lennox, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George, Randy Jones, Color Me Badd, Taylor Dayne, Melissa Etheridge, Lee Ann Rimes, Spandau Ballet, Cheap Trick, Adam Ant, Jody Watley and many, many more.

Eileen Shapiro is also the co-founder of World Star PR, recently named the best music publicity firm in the United States, working with established and up and coming artists around the world.

The music world is buzzing about the new working relationship between the iconic Eileen Shapiro (rock star journalist/PR guru) and the legendary Rachael Cain "Queen of House" and TRAX records.
