Leakprobe Releases Spooky Themed Leak Database Information for Halloween

Season's Greetings! The data breach company Leakprobe took humor and the Halloween spirit to release some of the plain-text information fromo it's databases to the general public. Among the data leaked are plain-text passwords for horror slashers.

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. - Oct. 30, 2018 - PRLog -- The horror slashers names that are revealed include Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, and Freddy Krueger, as well as other famous related icons such as Clive Barker and George A. Romero. Samples from the database are current with the data breaches that the information was extracted from -- sources include porn websites, general use websites, and social media.

It is speculative whether the usernames associated with these accounts belong to any of the celebrities that they are associated with. Likely none of the real life persons mentioned in the release are owners of the associated accounts. However, some of the accounts do appear to have corporate annotation such as the searches that were revealed for Halloween accounts. The release, which was shared on both Leakprobe's social media webpage on Facebook and Twitter, as well as on their regularly updated blog, aims at exposing the lack of password security on the relevant websites as well as from the relevant user accounts.

The data can be viewed at http://leakprobe.net or on their social media.
