CHICAGO - Sept. 26, 2018 - PRLog -- Cards Against Humanity is giving away tens of thousands of free packs to motivate their fans to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.

The promotion, called Cards Against Humanity Hacks the Election, is designed to unseat incumbent Republicans in six flippable Congressional districts: Iowa's 1st (Rod Blum); Illinois' 6th (Peter Roskam) and 14th (Randy Hultgren); Kansas' 4th (Ron Estes); Texas' 26th (Michael Burgess); and California's 25th (Steve Knight).

To participate, fans can visit CardsAgainstHumanityHackstheElection.com and provide the mailing address of a registered voter they know in one of these targeted districts.

Cards Against Humanity will send those voters a care package including free cards, a message from their friend urging them to vote, and information about their local election. Fans who refer friends in the targeted districts also will receive a free pack of cards.

"This kind of social voter-contact organizing is proven to work," Cards Against Humanity co-creator Max Temkin said. "We consulted with experienced organizers from OFA (Organizing for Action), Run for Something and VoteWithMe to apply all of the best practices for increasing turnout in these critical districts."

Voters and participants will receive the all-new Midterm Pack, a limited edition Cards Against Humanity expansion that contains 18 cards about the surreal fever dream that is contemporary American politics, including:

"Donald Trump's latest fucking thing."
"Fucking over future generations."
"Totally ineffective political satire."
"Propping up Ruth Bader Ginsburg's corpse and moving her jaw up and down."
"A law that allows factories to dump toxic waste into children's mouths."
"Crowdfunding my daughter's bone marrow transplant."
"Rising to power on a wave of ethnic nationalism."

Fans can buy or win the pack at CardsAgainstHumanityHackstheElection.com (http://www.cardsagainsthumanityhackstheelection.com/). Cards Against Humanity has set aside 50,000 packs to be sent for free to voters in the six target districts.

"Donald Trump won Wisconsin by 22,177 votes and Michigan by 10,704 votes," Cards Against Humanity community manager Jenn Bane said. "We think these 50,000 personal voter contacts have the potential to really move the needle on these six congressional races."

To select six districts for this promotion, Cards Against Humanity looked at dozens of Congressional races around the country.

"We tried to find districts with young exciting Democrats running against truly awful retrograde Republican ghouls," Temkin said.

Cards Against Humanity's deputy community manager Maria Ranahan added, "All of our candidates believe health care is a human right, support common sense gun laws and would serve as a check on Trump's power. I hope this promotion encourages registered voters to make an informed decision. There's too much at stake, and I don't want to die."

At press time, Cards Against Humanity was not sure if it was appropriate to add a "P.S." to a press release. However, if it was, they would ask you to watch their very funny announcement video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duU7q7SKS_0).
