MELBOURNE, Fla. - Aug. 1, 2018 - PRLog -- The Future Problem Solving Program International (FPSPI) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of April Dennis as the new Executive Director. Ms. Dennis began her work with FPSPI in 2012 as Program Director and has served as interim Executive Director since January.

Ms. Dennis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and a Master's Degree in Gifted Education from the University of South Florida. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and an Assessor for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, an Exemplar School Evaluator with the Partnership for 21st Century Learning (P21), a Brevard (Florida) District Facilitator for Gifted Endorsement courses, and a member of Rotary International. In addition, Ms. Dennis is the Chair-elect of the Creativity Network for the National Association for Gifted Children.

Prior to joining the staff of FPSPI, Ms. Dennis was a public school educator where, among other things, she coached youth of all ages in Future Problem Solving.

Ms. Dennis states, "I am honored and excited to continue my work with FPSPI in this new leadership role. The FPSPI mission aligns with my professional and personal passion of empowering young people to tackle problems of today, tomorrow, and the future."

Designed by creativity pioneer Dr. E. Paul Torrance in 1974, FPSPI's mission is "to develop the ability of young people globally to design and achieve positive futures through problem solving using critical and creative thinking."
