Gremlins Phase III Program Relies on Acumentrics Power Solutions for Mission Critical Power

WALPOLE, Mass. - July 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Acumentrics, Inc., a leader in military power solutions, announced today that they were selected by Dynetics as a preferred partner in power on Phase III of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Gremlins program. The Phase III objective is to demonstrate safe and reliable aerial launch and aerial recovery of multiple unmanned drone systems capable of employing and recovering diverse distributed payloads in volume quantities.

"We are excited to support Dynetics on the Gremlins program. A key element of our strategy is to allow Dynetics to focus on developing these high-level systems while relying on Acumentrics for the design and manufacture of the mission critical power systems that are targeted towards Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)", Steve Corbesero, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Acumentrics, said.

Acumentrics' mission critical power system is used in the airborne control station that provides operational control and situational awareness of the airspace around the C-130 as recovery of Gremlin UAV's are conducted.

Tim Keeter, Deputy Program Manager and Chief Engineer for Gremlins at Dynetics, said, "Rapid development of innovative and complex systems like Gremlins drives us to identify and use system components with the highest reputation for reliability and performance.  We are proud to be working, once again, with Acumentrics on another one of our priority demonstration programs."
