List of Proposed items for an Additional 10% Tariff on Chinese Imports

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - July 18, 2018 - PRLog -- Additional tariffs are scheduled to take effect September, 2018 under the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. The tariffs will first undergo an eight-week process for review including hearings. This newly imposed list contains Chinese imports worth roughly $200 billion dollars. The following commodities primarily contain industrial segments, perishables, and textiles including, but not limited to: automobiles, aerospace, robotics, information technology, industrial machinery, food, tobacco, cosmetics, film, hides, yarn, particular leathers, elemental concentrates and sulfates, handbags and travel bags. These new tariffs coincide with the existing duty rate and apply to goods under the following chapters:

The additional tariffs will affect approximately half of all imports from China to the United States. The proposed tariffs would be in addition to the 25% tariffs already in effect as of July 6, 2018.
