HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - July 13, 2018 - PRLog -- Filmmaker Dustin Ferguson, known for his prolific work in the Horror genre, specifically on feature films like "Nemesis 5" and "Sleepaway Camp IV", announces his new music single "Hollywood Rock", under his alias "Dirty D".

The project began in 2015 when Ferguson approached German "Electro" artist "E-Rocker" (Stefan Stahlmann) about a collaboration. The duo had previously worked together when Ferguson directed several of E-Rocker's music videos, including "Body Rock", "Nasty Girls" and "Can U Rock It Like That".

They developed an online friendship, and soon Ferguson was writing and recording lyrics for their first release under "E-Rocker ft. Dirty D", called "Welcome to My Bass". It was a 5-track EP, featuring three original tracks: "Party Planet", "Welcome to My Bass" and "Darkside of Dance", as well as two remixes of "Darkside of Dance", one of which was mixed by the legendary founder of the genre himself, "The Egyptian Lover".  All three original songs were followed by music videos produced by Ferguson, and the final single "Darkside of Dance" was eventually released on its own, with additional tracks on Vinyl from Flash Force Records!

The first single, called "Party Planet", featured additional vocals by Ferguson's real-life sister Breana Mitchell, billed as "Queen Bre". Mitchell has starred in several of Ferguson's previous films, including "Invitation to Die" and "Cheerleader Camp to the Death".  The music video features the pair rapping inside a "UFO", eventually landing on "Party Planet", where they bring their new beats to the natives. The second single and title-track "Welcome to My Bass" features Ferguson casually dishing the lyrics on-screen, while inter-cut with several local break dancers in various locations around the inner city. The lyrics speak of his challenges as a misunderstood artist and his current rise to fame. Finally, "Darkside of Dance" was released first as a lyric video, and later was produced with additional footage and a shorter mix. Both videos featured "fly girls" dancing alongside Ferguson, including "Queen Bre".

Today, three years later, "Dirty D" is announcing the upbeat, mood lifting "Hollywood Rock" as his "comeback" single in the form of a LIVE performance and an upcoming music video. On August 10th, "Dirty D" performs the song on Facebook Live via the "Dirty D" Official Page (https://www.facebook.com/Dirty-D-458547444321273).

Soon after that, the "Hollywood Rock" music video will debut online followed by the digital release of the new EP. It will feature two original tracks and several remixes. The lead single is being dubbed a "party jam" and touches on Ferguson's recent life-change as he relocated to California to pursue his film career and his love for the movie and music industries. The track will also be featured in his upcoming television pilot for "Los Angeles Lifers".
