The FOG Rally is an annual charity road rally benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
By: sakintermedia Over the last four years, the rally and pre-drive gala have raised more than $1M for Make-A-Wish® Featured in this year's rally is Ferrari's newest mid-engine pulse-pounder, the limited edition 488 Pista, powered by the most robust V8 engine in the marque's history, with technology direct from its race cars. The car will be in the lineup of more than 50rally cars in front of the Fairmont Hotel on Wednesday, September 5 at 6 pm. preceding the FOG Gala that evening. Two other notable rally entries are a 16M and a 458 Speciale, limited production cars which are considered exceptional and highly desirable. A 1979 308 GTS will anchor the "Classic" spot in the array. According to FOG President, Joe Keon, "It's rare to have the opportunity to have so much fun while making such a big difference in the lives of critically ill California youngsters. We are thrilled to be embarking on our eighth annual Rally after raising over $1,100,000 to fund so many life changing experiences for these kids." The weekend event will showcase Ferraris of all models and vintages. The rally caravan, with over 100 participants, is set to follow a scenic route from Sausalito through Isleton, Walnut Grove, Fiddletown, and the Eldorado and Toiyabe National Forests before reaching its destination, the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe.
