By: Juice-BX The company deployed models JT1 and JT2 to several customer locations for 4-6 weeks of beta testing. Model JT1 is a compact charging station that includes an interactive touchscreen and secure charging lockers. Model JT2 includes a 42 inch screen and is designed for venues with greater advertising needs. JT1 and JT2 support the charging of multiple brands of smart phones, tablets, pads, and wearable IoT devices. Both models accept credit card or cash payments, or may be configured in complimentary mode for free charging. The company focused on customer locations that included universities, vending and arcade, co-working, and sports bars. Initial development and testing was done at the Venture Development Center at the University of Texas at Dallas. Other customer test sites included Split Town Tavern, North Texas Amusements, and Capital Factory. "Our charging stations exceeded expectations," Test results showed that most customers charged their phones for 15-20 minutes. Depending on the model of phone, this resulted in a 20-40% increase of the device's battery charge. As part of customer beta testing, the charging stations displayed advertising content for the local venue as well as other information. "The charging stations proved to be great advertising platforms for the host venues," said Robert Brevelle, Co-Founder and CEO of Juice-BX. "Upcoming events, menu items, specials, sports and news highlights were displayed on the charging stations in an interactive and fun way. With our remote server capability, advertising content can be customized and loaded onto any charging station anywhere and at anytime." With beta testing complete, Juice-BX charging stations can be found in Dallas, Fort Worth, and later this month, in Austin.
