The Next Album: While On Tour, The GroovaLottos Start The Process For Their Sophomore Project

MASHPEE, Mass. - June 18, 2018 - PRLog -- Thanks to public relations teams, when people envision a band creating their new album, they envision the band sitting in the recording studio focused on each note of a new song or recording as the process of making the album. While this is true for many artists and bands, new songs and album material for The GroovaLottos is mostly born in the clubs and on the road. "Even if I sat home and wrote a song, it gets fleshed out at rehearsals and gigs before it's recorded." explains GroovaLottos keyboardist and main songwriter, Mwalim. "It's the audience reaction and connection that helps us figure out the arrangement and approach to the song."

"The people coming to hear us in the clubs and at shows are mainly the ones buying our CDs," added GroovaLottos drummer, Eddie Ray Johnson, "we see how folks react to a song as well as how it feels playing it. If it works, I see Mwalim whip out his phone and record what we're doing for future use. This was how we settle on an arrangement for 'Do You Mind (IfWeDanceWitYoDates)?" \

"Do You Mind...?" was the band's debut single and spent 41 weeks in the top ten of the Americana/Indie Blues Charts almost a year before the release of their multi-Grammy nominated album, "Ask Yo' Mama". Time on the road, and new interactions with new audiences will likely yield another hit album for the band. The ZYG 808 is using a similar method to developing his debut solo album while touring with the band.
