York Nordic Announces Upcoming Seminar At York Hospital's Living Well Center

YORK, Maine - June 5, 2018 - PRLog -- York Nordic, a New England based fitness manufacturer, has announced an upcoming seminar to introduce people of all ages and physical abilities to the health benefits of Nordic walking.

The personalized, one-hour training seminar will get walkers started out on the right foot. Lauren DeLong, owner of www.YorkNordic.com and a certified Nordic Walking instructor, will work with participants one-on-one and in a group. Lauren teaches Nordic Walking throughout New England, South Carolina, and Florida. This event is free for members of the York Hospital Living Well Center (http://www.yorkhospital.com/programs/living-well-center.aspx), and $5 for non-members.

Lauren said, "We're hoping a lot of folks will get outside and enjoy with us! Nordic Walking is a smart outdoor physical activity with maximum health benefits for old and young. If you have travel plans coming up and you have concerns about your balance, adding folding traveler poles to your suitcase will likely give you the confidence you need to enjoy your trip safely. We will have demo poles at the event for those who need them, and you are welcome to bring your own poles if you have them."

The "Walking with Poles for Exercise or Balance" seminar will be held Tuesday, June 12th from 4:30-5:30pm at the York Hospital Living Well Center, located at 127 Long Sands Road in the Long Sands Plaza, York, Maine. An add-on seminar is being offered on Thursday, June 14th from 9-10am at Long Sands Beach, with details to be discussed during the June 12^th seminar.
