Catherine Sutton Selected As New CEO Of The Northeast Florida Safety Council

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - May 21, 2018 - PRLog -- Catherine Sutton has been selected as the new chief executive officer of the Northeast Florida Safety Council (NEFSC) to replace retiring Sue Holley.

         Sutton's responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day operations of the Council; assisting the NEFSC Executive Committee in forming policy; implementing policy; overseeing budget preparations and interacting with various branches of government.

         Sutton has an extensive background in leading various member and volunteer associations and organizations. Most recently she served as the COO for the IHG Association, an international association of hotel owners. She also served as Executive Director/CEO for the MCCC Foundation, a non-profit for civic and educational leadership; ED/CEO for the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and Foundation; CEO of the Nevada Association of Realtors; and President and CEO for the Safety Council of Louisiana.

She will be taking over from Holley, who has served as executive director since 2012 and has been employed by the Council since 1994.  Her husband, Joel, who worked as Associate Executive Director and served as Executive Director for 29 years, is also retiring. "Sue and Joel have been tremendous leaders for our organization over the years," said Dan Hempsall, President of the Board of Director for NEFSC. "They will be truly missed."

         NEFSC is a non-governmental, not for profit, public service organization dedicated to promoting good health, savings lives, preventing accidents and maintaining a safe environment through workplace safety programs, road safety training programs and community service.
