Follow on Google News | Marshall Barnes Turns Completely Against NBC's Timeless With Scathing Futurism.media RebukeThe man some say will be known as the father of time travel, has come out against the continuation of NBC's embattled program, Timeless, in a scathing rebuke of the program's producers, writers, and "rabid" fans facing possible cancellation again.
By: Fame Plan Timeless, but now he's wanting the time machines moth balled for good. In a new article for Futurism.media, the internationally followed R&D engineer and expert in temporal mechanics, slams the NBC program in, Why 'Timeless' Deserves to Get Cancelled, AGAIN. In it, he carefully lays out the truth concerning the show, which the media is ignoring - Timeless has always underperformed while at the same time its creators have taken arrogant positions which have proved to be counter productive. What he doesn't reveal in the article is that he has a grudge with Timeless actor, Malcolm Barrett who told lies about Marshall on Twitter, saying that Marshall attacked him because he plays a character who runs a time machine on TV but he doesn't really know time travel science. "After all, the people on Lost, weren't really lost..." The truth is that Marshall attacked him for saying, on the Only Stupid Answers podcast, that he actually does know time travel science and is the go to guy in the cast that people query. After that claim, Barrett botched nearly every time travel science comment that he made during the interview, despite bragging that he knows enough about the subject to tell fans when they're wrong. "I challenged Barrett to a debate at ComicCon and his response was to lie about me on Twitter to his fans. All they had to do was read the article I wrote and they would've seen the truth, but they didn't. They started mocking me with those most asinine comments. In fact, months later, I got this tweet out of the Netherlands from some stupid twit that I've never heard of, asking me to show her some photo from decades in the future since I "travel everywhere". I told her that if she knew anything about me, she'd know that I never made that claim and I have no interest in going to the future - it's the past I'm interested in. Then I told her to sod off, and that was the last I heard from her". Marshall's first direct conflict with the show, however, was with co-creator Shawn Ryan last year, after Ryan dissed time travel fans who know the "rules" of time travel, saying that time travel is a science "that doesn't exist yet". Marshall called Ryan out on that and after a brief, but heated exchange, during which Marshall exposed Ryan's hypocrisy, Ryan withdrew. Marshall works hard, both doing credible science in that field and tries to promote the truth about what is going on in true time travel science research. He most recently produced a miniaturized quantum trigger that could be used as a component in a time machine design, something that in 1992, National Medal of Science award winner Yakir Aharonov, predicted in Discover magazine could one day be possible. Marshall sees the actions of Barrett and Ryan as counter to those efforts. After seeing his predictions of the Timeless ratings collapse come true, his position is clear - why support what amounts to an enemy vessel in distress? "The whole show has become such an unfortunate farce, but that's what it is. There's supposed to be all this fan support but it doesn't appear in the ratings, the producers claim to know the 'rules' of time travel but they're just making stuff up and display disdain for those who actually care. It's incredibly unfortunate for the cast and crew, who do such a good job, to be saddled with these morons who clearly are incapable of doing what shows like FRINGE have done easily. It's a clear and obvious indication that I've been right about these clowns all along. The best thing is to let it die, promote the facts as to why it died, so that someone else can try again with a time travel show and get it right. Heck, I've got ideas for a time travel fiction show that would do far better than this tripe." To read the article in its entirety see https://futurism.media/ End
