LISBON, Portugal - May 17, 2018 - PRLog -- Amoreiras Shopping Center and Lisbon Zoo partner to bring people closer than ever to wild animals from all continents through a cutting-edge, interactive Augmented Reality screen. The aim of the initiative is to educate people about the challenges and the importance of animal conservation, and highlight the work the zoo is doing to ensure the ongoing survival of the world's most vulnerable species.

INDE's award-winning BrodcastAR system, installed at Lisbon's flagship mall, is bringing some special 3D creatures to the shopping centre, and is offering people a unique chance to travel to some incredible locations. As they step in front of the AR screen, viewers find themselves beside an elephant in Africa, a polar bear in the freezing Arctic wilds, and they can even interact with life-sized extinct creatures from the Jurassic.

As Alex Poulson, INDE's CEO describes the AR platform, "What we are building is a new way to educate people about history, about the natural world, and about everything they ever dreamt of experiencing but never could. It's about re-creating situations and environments that train, educate, inform and entertain by experiencing them first-hand."

"BroadcastAR is a great family activity, the perfect way for children to learn about wild animals in a fun and memorable way. What's amazing about it is that you instantly become an active participant and get to explore some beautiful and distant worlds. The AR experience is very straightforward and intuitive which makes it perfect for group interactions, and the installation was smooth and professional, thanks to INDE," said Fernando Oliveira, Amoreiras Shopping Administrator.

The big-screen AR installation marks the Portugal debut of INDE's BroadcastAR experience, already installed in hundreds of locations worldwide, for clients such as National Geographic, Smithsonian Institution, Beijing Aquarium, Universal Studios, BBC, 20th Century Fox and Coca-Cola.

Augmented Reality company INDE currently operates offices in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Budapest and Los Angeles.
