GREEN BAY, Wis. - May 15, 2018 - PRLog -- Badger Sheet Metal Works supplies food processors to mining operations
Material handling fabrication in Wisconsin can include industries as diverse as pet food producers to mining and everything in between. Badger Sheet Metal Works serves as an industry leader in material handling fabrication through its expertise with a wide range of metals and applications.

Dependable and rugged material handling systems are key to maximizing production efficiencies in manufacturing processes. Badger Sheet Metal Works performs partial to complete assembly in the production of conveyor systems, sorters, hoppers and buckets that fit specific needs.

"Our role requires collaboration with our customers as well as electrical subcontractors and other specialists," explains Kenny Coe, director of sales at Badger Sheet Metal Works. "Whether it's duct fabrication or material handling fabrication, our capabilities lend themselves to meeting the specific requirements of each project."

Material handling fabrication includes dust control

Dust control plays a major role in the design of many material handling fabrication projects, particularly for applications in the cement, alternative fuels and coal industries. Conveyors, chutes and suction capabilities combine to limit the damaging impact that dust and other small particulates can have.

Badger Sheet Metal Works' expertise with stainless steel comes into play for fabrication of hoppers and buckets that weigh materials such as pet food and pharmaceuticals. Some have an outer shell and an inner skin, connected to suction and contain the dust.

Industries such as mining and gravel production require an extra-hard material such as AR400 steel to withstand the pounding they take. Conveyor systems can stretch for hundreds of feet in some cases.

"The quality has to be high regardless of the material for it to be a good investment for the customer," Coe says. "Our material handling fabrication projects are designed to stand the test of time."

The company hosts on-site safety classes conducted by Fox Valley Safety Training Inc. Training topics are designed to meet or exceed OSHA requirements and cover a wide range of subjects. April training topics included a facility audit review, ergonomics and back safety, and walking-working surfaces (housekeeping).
