Yoga has proved to be one of the best ways to improve a person's defence mechanism and vitality. Following a yoga routine for strength and a good body balance is not just great to build endurance, but is also beneficial in fighting and reducing several diseases which strengthens the body and mind. You can start practising beginner's yoga for strength to build strength in the arms, legs and the core.

But make sure that you do not practice the whole yoga sequence all in one go if you find it difficult. Try to work on a few simple yoga poses first and then move forward with the hard ones. If you want, you can incorporate the child's pose as a break while you practice yoga for balance as well as strength. Here are some of the simple yoga poses which you as a beginner can follow to improve your body balance as well as strength:

Tree Pose:

This pose is ideal to increase your balance and concentration power. To assume the pose, stand straight, with the feet placed hip distant apart. Take a long breath in and as start breathing out, place the right foot on the left thigh. Ensure that your left leg is firmly rooted to the floor.

If you find doing this difficult then you, can rest your foot on the left calf muscle instead. Get your hands pressed into each other at the centre of your chest in a prayer pose. Focus at a point ahead of you and take 3 to 5 rounds of deep yogic breathing. Slowly release and return back to the original position. Repeat the same on the other leg.

Triangle Pose:

This pose helps to stretch the spine, hips and arms which in turn helps to release the tension in the body and increase balance. To assume the pose, stand straight, with the spine erect, and keep your feet placed at about 3 feet apart. Then turn your right foot on the side. Extend your arms out at shoulder height across from the shoulders.

Breathe out and bend downwards. Touch your right hand to the right leg or foot. Breathe slowly and deeply. Next, straighten the left hand up in the air and try to look up at the left arm. Try and feel the breath flow from the hand to your feet. Then relax the left arm and come back to the original position.

Downward facing dog pose:

This pose helps to strengthen the spine and stretch the back muscles. To assume the pose, start with all fours in a tabletop position, but your hands should be placed slightly ahead of the shoulders. Bring your knees away from the ground and lift your hip upwards towards the ceiling.

Strengthen your knees and essentially make sure that you make an inverted 'V' kind of position. At this position, elongate the legs and push your arms into the floor. Your head should be in the centre, in between the upper arms. Try and hold the pose for at least 5 breaths and then release and come back to the original position.

Plank Pose:

This pose is one of the best yoga postures as it tones the entire core muscle group of the body. To assume the pose, start again from the tabletop position. Lower your arms towards the floor so that the elbows and forearms support your upper body. Ensure that your shoulders are directly over the elbows. Then stretch the legs out, with the balls of feet touching the floor. Try and hold the pose for some time and then release and come back to the original position.

Keep in mind that the balance of the body keeps changing and is linked with your clarity and focus. So if you have trouble staying focused and clear, then it is best to start with yoga practice and train your body towards it. Best yoga for beginners is the one that not only improves the physical side of the practitioners but which also helps to improve their mental capabilities. Therefore, follow yoga for good health to prepare you to face the daily challenges of life in a better way.
