Matanzas on the Bay to offer food and drink specials, live performances May 5 for Cinco de Mayo

FORT MYERS, Fla. - May 1, 2018 - PRLog -- Matanzas on the Bay on Fort Myers Beach will celebrate Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 5, offering all-day dining specials from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and live performances throughout the day.

On the menu for May 5 is Dave's Con Queso Dip, featuring a blend of cheeses, spinach, pimento and jalapeño, served with tortilla chips for $9. The Florida citrus-marinated Shrimp & Scallop Ceviche with tomato, onion, cilantro and avocado, served with tortilla chips, is available for $14. The Shrimp or Fish Taco Dinner with shrimp or cod on a flour tortilla can be enjoyed at $14. The Seafood Chimichanga Dinner for $17 includes a flour tortilla wrap filled with crab, shrimp and Monterrey cream cheese, flash-fried until golden brown and drizzled with cilantro aioli sauce.

Upstairs at Petey's Upper Deck, Chef Dave Chetwin's popular Nacho Pizza is making a special appearance. This festive dish features hand-tossed dough topped with black bean sauce, cheddar, jalapeño and mozzarella cheese, layers of chorizo sausage, ground beef and diced tomato, all garnished with shredded lettuce, jalapeños, black olives and served with a side of sour cream and guacamole. The Nacho Pizza will be available at $18 for a 14-inch pie and $11 for a 9-inch. Drink specials include house margaritas for $5, buckets of Corona, Corona Light and Corona Premier for $18, tequila shots for $5 and tequila Jell-O shots for $1. Petey's daily Happy Hour offerings will also be available from 3 to 6 p.m.

For the 2018 Kentucky Derby, Petey's Upper Deck at Matanzas on the Bay is helping guests get into the spirit with $5 Mint Juleps. The race starts at 6:46 p.m. and will be shown on the Upper Deck and in the restaurant downstairs.

Live music can be enjoyed throughout the day, with Scotty Bryan performing from noon to 5 p.m., followed by a performance by Mary Winner from 5 to 9 p.m.

Free car parking and boat dockage is available for guests traveling by land or sea.
