NEW YORK - April 24, 2018 - PRLog -- UltraFlex Power Technologies recently demonstrated that firm soldering of coaxial cables to connectors could be achieved in under 4 seconds using induction heating.

UltraFlex, being a manufacturer of the most advanced and innovative digitally controlled induction heating technology in the industry, used its proprietary 2 KW induction heating equipment from the S series in this demo. Compact and economical, the S-series induction heating system allows easy tuning to a variety of loads and coils and operates with a water-cooled or air-cooled remote heat station.

In the soldering demo, 6 different sizes of connectors and coaxial cables had to be soldered to one another. At a target temperature of ~500°F (260°C) and using power of 1.3 kW, it took under 4 seconds to complete the soldering process for each, with less time taken for the smaller-size cables and connectors.

The quick and easy soldering was carried out in complete safety, without requiring specific conditions, with no flame or toxic gas emissions.
