This highly topical and light-hearted new book `Being American Married to a Brit', is dedicated to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to both amuse and enlighten them on their own journey as a British and American couple. It relays tales, anecdotes and gives a better understanding of the 'Brit Lingo' as told by another Anglo-American couple.

Written by US-born Helen Renée, now living 50% of the time in Britain with Brian, her co-author Brit husband.  Helen admits that when they first started dating, she never gave a second thought about the possible differences in language and culture, but she very quickly discovered their relationship was going to be a highly amusing roller-coaster ride, of errors and confusion as they constantly experienced the huge differences in their basic communication, with miscommunication being a daily occurrence!

Helen said, "It really is as if we are both speaking a completely different language at times, but it continues to provide us with good old-fashioned belly-laughs that still punctuate our married life to this day."

Helen was born in Duluth, and now lives half of each year in Minneapolis, MN, and the other half in Manchester, UK.  She spent part of her childhood in Alaska where her father was an Ice Road Trucker.  Helen is a Mom and competitive Bikini Fitness Athlete.

Brian Sterling-Vete was born in Manchester, who also lives 50% of the time in Minneapolis, MN, holds a Guinness World Record and is a martial arts instructor and fitness expert. The couple met when their paths crossed one day in Minneapolis.

TV Sit-Com & Movie Rights Notes:  2 Enquiries have been made already regarding possible TV sit-com and also movie rights to this book and the overall concept it contains.  This is now being handled by the JHMGroup in both Britain, and in the United States.
