April's MASTERS Audio Club Features ADHD Advocate Stephen Tonti on Embracing Our Differences

Stephen Tonti founded Attention Different, an ADHD coaching/advocacy company, after his successful 2013 TEDx Talk (over 1 million views). Interviewed by Winn Claybaugh, Stephen describes his journey of growing up with ADHD and the gifts it can bring.

SANDY, Utah - April 3, 2018 - PRLog -- Stephen Tonti is a freelance writer, director, and ADHD advocate based in Los Angeles. Born in New Orleans and raised in Dallas, Stephen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in directing from Carnegie Mellon University and is currently enrolled in the University of Southern California's (USC) Graduate Film and Television Production program.

Having worked in various industries spanning film, theater, music, technology, online publication, new media, and even ADHD coaching, Stephen clearly cares a lot about a lot of things. He has worked for or co-founded the following companies: Hearst Digital Media Group, Roundabout Theatre Company, The Wild Honey Pie, Manhattan Theatre Club, The Lincoln Center, Dallas Theatre Center, LAUNCH Presents: TBD Fest, Hooke Audio, The Harlem Public, and Potential Within Reach.

Stephen has also worked alongside a menagerie of magnificent mentors: he served as assistant producer for filmmaker/producer Jacob Jaffke, speechwriter for producer Paula Wagner, assistant director to director Katherine Brook, assistant to the artistic director Kevin Moriarty, media consultant for producer Sydney Beers and director Scott Ellis … and the list goes on.

Stephen's work has been presented on Style of Sound, Brooklyn Vegan, Billboard, Shot For Shot Film Festival, The Roundabout Theatre Company's Spring Gala,Playground: A Festival of New Work,Third Space Theater Co., and The Wild Honey Pie.

Stephen is the cofounder of Vin Fiz Productions, New Krewe Productions, and the ADHD coaching and advocacy company Attention Different, which he started with Aaron Smith in 2014 after the success of his 2013 TEDx Talk at Carnegie Mellon titled "Attention Different, NOT 'Deficit.'" The 2013 talk is on YouTube and has gathered well over one million views.

Stephen currently travels the country (when he can squeeze it in) to present on growing up ADHD.

Interviewed by Winn Claybaugh, Stephen speaks passionately about his personal journey of growing up with ADHD and launching Attention Different (rather than attention deficit). Like every life experience, the more we understand and embrace our differences and those of others, the more we can benefit from life's gifts. Stephen describes the gifts that can come from an ADHD diagnosis, and how companies and schools can embrace those differences.
