By: Shanti Arts Shanti Arts is dedicating the fall 2018 issue of its journal, Still Point Arts Quarterly, to writing and art that reinterpret the Four Freedoms for today. Much in our world has changed since 1941, and new ways of understanding and applying these freedoms have arisen along with new ways of challenging them. Remembering and reinterpreting Rockwell's contribution to art and society seems well suited to the present day. Writing submissions may include fiction, non-fiction, essay, and poetry. The deadline for writing submissions is May 1 (extended from April 1), 2018. Art submissions may include painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and more. The deadline for art submissions is July 1, 2018. Four (4) awards will be given: Award for Best in Show (Portfolio) - requires 3 images; Award for Uniqueness of Concept and Originality; Those whose work is accepted for publication will be notified by August 1. The fall issue of Still Point Arts Quarterly will be released September 1 and will be available in a free digital format and a print format on sale for $14.50. We expect a wide distribution for this special issue. Accepted art work will also be shown as an exhibit on our website.
