Writers Resource Center Accepting Submissions for New Anthology; March 10th Deadline

FAIRFIELD, Calif. - March 5, 2018 - PRLog -- Members of the Writers Resource Center (WRC) are accepting submissions of fiction, nonfiction and poetry for their new anthology, "Mélange: Musings On Life From A Writer's Pen."  The deadline for submitting manuscripts is March 10^th. Anyone interested in having their work included must be, or become, a member of WRC, a nonprofit organization. Membership applications will be available at the group's March 10^th meeting, which will take place from 10 am to 12 noon at 1745 Enterprise Drive, Fairfield, in room 112. Everyone attending must RSVP by emailing janiepbess@yahoo.com. Members must bring their card or certificate. Admission is free for members; others pay a small fee. Refreshments will be provided.

"We're looking forward to getting some top quality, imaginative, engaging manuscripts from local and regional authors," says WRC Founder Janie P. Bess. "We're very excited about the prospect of getting our first collection of short stories, poems and testimonials published."

Works being considered for the book will be critiqued during Saturday's workshop and may be accepted immediately, if they fit the book's criteria and are formatted correctly.  To request a copy of the formatting instructions and other submission guidelines, please contact Bess at janiepbess@yahoo.com. The book will be published in October by Micah 6:8 Publishing, an independent firm owned by Wanda B. Campbell, an author of several books, vice president of WRC and one of its instructors. The project is part of the group's "Developing Authors Series," a program where writers are taught all aspects of writing, publishing and promoting their books.
