IBT of Miami signs contract to build another hospital in Peru

MIAMI - Feb. 22, 2018 - PRLog -- IBT of Miami announced it was awarded the contract to build a $23 million hospital in Pacasmayo, a seaside city in the La Libertad region of Peru, that is scheduled to open in 18 months.

"The Pacasmayo Hospital will have modern equipment and its personnel will be trained to carry out best practices in hospital management to ensure quality healthcare is available to the region's 48,000 inhabitants," said Daniel Toledano, managing director and chief operating officer of IBT.

IBT has an eight-year history of building hospitals in Peru and is the main shareholder of the operating companies of the Hospital Complexes of EsSalud, Alberto Barton and Guillermo Kaelin, operated under the modality of Public Private Partnership (APP) in Lima.

The new 94,700-square-foot hospital will be built with earthquake resistant materials, including steel reinforced concrete. The innovative architectural design was developed for patient centered care, safety and healing. Services will include an emergency department, ultrasound, hospitalization, deliveries, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, pharmacy and sterilization.

IBT signed the contract with the National Program of Investments in Health (PRONIS), a department within Peru's Ministry of Health. The bidding process for the contract was overseen by PRONIS according to requirements and schedules established by law.
