NEW YORK - Feb. 7, 2018 - PRLog -- KeyMedia Public Relations is pleased to announce our colleagues Messineo-Wyman in association with YooRae Choi have surpassed their expectations by raising over $5,000.00 at their December 1st and 2nd invitation-only fundraiser held on behalf of the International Rescue Committee (IRC). The event and campaign were organized to support the International Rescue Committee's global rescue efforts in honor of Ms. Greenberg Wyman's late husband, Michael J. Wyman who was a life-long supporter of the IRC, a leading worldwide charity.

IRC's New York/New Jersey Development Director Alex Earles shares, "We are so thrilled and grateful that the event in honor of Michael J. Wyman was able to harbor as many donations as it did. The event and campaign went beyond our expectations. They also provided us with outstanding visibility amongst an important group of caring individuals and organizations. Their support is invaluable to the IRC."

The two-day event hosted at the home of Helene Greenberg Wyman in Greenwich Village attracted close to 100 guests who generously contributed to the campaign in honor of her late husband's life and work as a respected humanitarian. Powered through the CrowdRise platform, this fundraising drive will directly impact and benefit the lives of those who are in desperate need of help as Michael J. Wyman would have wished. There were also private donors contributing to the IRC directly, in honor of the event and honoree.

About Michael J. Wyman: Michael J. Wyman, who studied at the University of Illinois, deeply believed in the sanctity of human life - and devoted himself to empowering individuals of every stripe to be all they are capable of being. He served in the National Reserves and traveled throughout the world including crises regions such as Israel, Syria, Jordan, and the Western territories, as well as developing countries such as Bangladesh and Burma. He taught a breakthrough workshop entitled "The Power of Acknowledgement" and was a Leader in the Human Potential Movement which led him to the United Nations as a NGO (Non Governmental Official.) His program allowed participants to realize their potential as unique creative beings. He was a strong supporter of helping the impoverished and the discriminated, find sanctuary in America and other welcoming nations. He believed, both scientifically and spiritually, that there is only one human race - irrespective of nationalities, cultures, ethnicities and religions.

About the IRC: The International Rescue Committee responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. Thousands of refugees flee conflict, dire hardships and upheaval to arrive in the US with hopes of new beginnings and eager to contribute their unique skills to the United States. The IRC creates opportunities for these refugees to establish successful new lives.
