Massive Transformation at City Cemetery

BELFAST, Northern Ireland - Jan. 21, 2018 - PRLog -- When a family grave becomes so unrecognizable and covered with weeds and badly stained  then big actions are needed to transform it.

How many of us in our 50s and 60s would consider ourselves "old" or "over the hill". Not many I suspect, as a soon to be 59 year old I have never felt more inspired and driven to work and look forward to what each day has to bring. Changing careers after 30 plus years is a daunting thing but more and more are having to go down that route as the employment pool shrinks in size and those on the "age boundary " get pushed out. It takes a lot of courage and positivity to make that first tentative step but that is what is needed to enter the wonderful and challenging world of self-employment.

My life's route has taken me from a long teaching career into grave renovation and maintenance. Now there's a career shift ! Developing new skills and having to market what you do presents new challenges but I stuck with it and now business is doing very well.I am my own boss and that is such an empowering thing. You can work as long as you want...sometimes ridiculously long hours and other times you can take off and go for a day out. In my new line of work I meet such interesting people and travel to all parts of the country.

It is important to find something that you are skilled in and will enjoy doing. The last thing you want is a job where everything is a chore and not enjoyable.
