LOS ANGELES - Jan. 17, 2018 - PRLog -- After a successful nationwide release on Redbox, Coffin 2, the sequel to the hit 2011 thriller, Coffin, drops on major VOD platforms this Friday, January 19. Available for pre-order on iTunes, the film features Johnny Alonzo (Gotham) reprising his role as Trick from the original Coffin. The film also stars horror icon Robert Mukes (House of 1000 Corpses) and features Laura James, 2013 winner of America's Next Top Model. Writer/director Kipp Tribble returns as deliciously flawed detective Scott.

Giving the film a 3.5-coffin rating, Film Threat praises Coffin 2 as, "enjoyable," and "a series of mind games and varying jumps into subjective space." Horror Society has dubbed it, "Saw in nature, but with more action and crime."

In Coffin 2, the tables are turned on con man Trick (Alonzo), as he finds himself trapped in a cage with four others, all immobilized from the neck down. When Trick realizes that one of the other hostages is an old foe, Detective Epperson (Derik Wingo), the two begin working together to uncover the connection between them and their captor — a masked man they suspect to be the infamous Deathstalker Killer.

Produced by Skyrocket Productions, makers of the original Coffin, Coffin 2 is distributed on iTunes and GooglePlay by Leomark Studios, a Los Angeles-based production and distribution company with a catalogue of more than 200 titles. Other Leomark releases include Kepler's Dream, starring Kelly Lynch (Mr. Mercedes), Sean Patrick Flanery (Boondock Saints) and Isabella Blake-Thomas (Once Upon a Time), available on Amazon, iTunes and GooglePlay January 26.
