Snell & Wilmer Announces Election of New Partners and Counsel for the Class of 2018

PHOENIX - Jan. 2, 2018 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce six attorneys have been elected to join the firm's partnership, effective January 1, 2018. In addition, five attorneys were elected to counsel.

Newly elected partners are:

Jason Brinkley is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law and has been in the firm's Denver office since 2012. Jason focuses on the areas of energy, real estate, and government relations matters and was a Colorado Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2017. Jason is currently on the firm's Attorney Development Committee and the Denver Hiring Committee and is an active mentor to several associates.

Colin Higgins is a graduate of Loyola University School of Law and is a commercial litigator in the Orange County office. Colin started as a summer associate with Snell & Wilmer and has been with the firm ever since. He is a member of the Orange County Hiring Committee and Co-Chair of the Litigation Training Committee.

Craig Jenson is a graduate of the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law and practices real estate in the Salt Lake City office. He represents a wide variety of clients, including real estate owners, developers, and lenders, and general contractors and suppliers in transactional and litigation matters. Craig currently serves as a member of the Utah State Bar Real Estate Section's executive committee.

Bradley Martorana graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law, obtained his MBA from Arizona State University W.P. School of Business, and is also a CPA with experience at one of the big four accounting firms. Brad joined the corporate and securities group in the Phoenix office in 2015. Outside of the office, Brad is active in state and national bar organizations including the Securities Regulation Section's Executive Council of the State Bar of Arizona and the Mergers and Acquisitions Committee of the American Bar Association.

Elisabeth McOmber is a graduate of the Brooklyn Law School and has been with Snell & Wilmer's product liability litigation group since 2004. She has extensive experience defending high-stakes product defect claims against leading manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automobiles, watercraft and marine products, and aircraft. Liz also chairs the firm's Salt Lake City office Community Involvement Committee and serves as an associate mentor.

Jeffrey Morton is a graduate of the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law. He also received his Ph.D. in Immunology from Washington University in St. Louis. Jeff has been a member of the firm's intellectual property group in Phoenix since 2016 where he has been an active mentor to other associates. Jeff practices in both Arizona and California and is also admitted to practice in British Columbia and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.

Newly elected counsel are:

Colin Ahler is a graduate of Harvard Law School and is in the Phoenix office's special litigation and compliance group with a focus and particular experience in antitrust and unfair competition matters. Colin joined the firm in 2014 and currently sits on the Pro Bono Committee. His pro bono practice has included a petition for post-conviction relief in state court, an amicus brief filed with the Arizona Supreme Court concerning the selection of members to the state's independent redistricting commission and the representation of clients seeking asylum under federal immigration law.

Andrew Flior is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law and has a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Chicago. Andrew was a summer associate with Snell & Wilmer in 2008, and after interning at the San Diego District Attorney's Office, joined the Orange County intellectual property practice group, where he has experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications as well as intellectual property litigation. He has litigation experience in patent and trademark matters at the U.S. District Court level, and in patent matters before the International Trade Commission.

Carlos Freaner obtained his law degree (J.D. equivalent) from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and his LL.M. degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. Carlos joined the firm's Los Cabos office in 2013, where he focuses on real estate, commercial finance and business transactions in Mexico, particularly real estate investment, development and leasing, secured lending, M&A, joint ventures and corporate counseling for U.S. developers, builders, hospitality groups, manufacturers, investment firms and mining companies. Carlos is admitted to practice in Mexico and is a mentor in the Los Cabos office.

Erin Leach is a graduate of the University of California Hastings College of Law and has been with the firm ever since. Her practice is concentrated in employment litigation and counseling in the Orange County office. She provides clients with ongoing counseling on a wide range of personnel matters including hiring and termination decisions, employment agreements, policy drafting, wage and hour issues, and employee medical leave. Erin was named a Southern California Rising Star for Employment Litigation in 2013-2016, as well as one of Los Angeles Magazine's Top Women Attorneys in 2016. In the office, Erin sits on the OC Hiring Committee and is Co-Chair of the Litigation Training Committee.

Jasmin Yang is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School. Jasmin practices bankruptcy, insolvency and business reorganization in the Los Angeles office. She has experience in a variety of bankruptcy-related topics including preference prosecution and defense, claims objection litigation, plan confirmation proceedings, receiverships, workouts, collection and recovery, and appeals and she is admitted in both California and Arizona. Jasmin is currently a member of the Attorney Development Committee, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and Women's Initiative.
