United Way Names Board Member of the Quarter

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Dec. 18, 2017 - PRLog -- The United Way Volusia-Flagler Counties (UWVFC) is pleased to name Lindsey Preston its Board Member of the Quarter.

Preston is wellness and communications coordinator for Florida Health Care Plans. She serves on UWVFC's main board of directors and as a director of its Women United Volusia County chapter. She is also the co-chair of Women United Volusia's 2018 Power of the Purse event.

"Through United Way, you can help touch the lives of so many throughout our community rather than focusing on just one cause, and the programs supported by the United Way help with a vast array of issues that families and individuals encounter daily," said Preston. "These families or individuals could be our own co-worker, family member, friend or neighbor – you never know when hard times may fall and I'm glad to know I'm helping to make a small difference for someone who really needs it."

Dennis Burns, CEO of UWVFC, credits Preston for her energy and ingenuity on the board.
