After receiving the call to action, Divas In Defense wasted no time joining the movement, dispatching Program Director (Girls Can Fight Too), Skye Walton and Vice President of Operations, Vanessa Parker. Like Balsam International, Divas In Defense has earned global respect and gained a large following—domestically and internationally, with trainers in dozens of markets. They have appeared on CNN, NBC, CBS, E! Network, Bravo TV and Lifetime TV because of their efforts to change the tide of abuse on women. Since 2012, they have been serving private groups, The Girl Scouts of America, public schools, college students, working women and major corporations. Full of gratitude and aware that she'd be contributing to history, Skye posted on social media, "What can I say, but thank you for this opportunity," To date, hundreds of eager Kuwaiti women and girls have come ready to learn physical self-defense techniques, learn valuable information on the statistics of abuse and insight on how to identify and avoid situational crises. With classes developed for girls starting at age 4, Divas In Defense's mission is about more than just teaching people that Girls Can Fight Too, but on a deeper level, that they can tap into their confidence very early on in life.
