Follow on Google News | Daystar's Christmas Lights Display Opens to the PublicThe Attraction Doubles to Over One Million LED Lights This Year
Each holiday season, Daystar puts up a life-sized nativity scene and covers the property in LED lights to encourage the Dallas-Fort Worth Community to come and experience the true meaning of Christmas. This year, they have doubled their holiday display to include over one million lights, in addition to adding an area solely dedicated to entertaining children by bringing in their favorite holiday characters. Daystar's Christmas Town will feature a lighted tunnel entrance leading guests to a gazebo surrounded by toy soldiers. Children will also be able to see a 6-foot tall Olaf joined by his two penguin friends, a lighted Thomas the Train, Santa's workshop with elves, and a gingerbread house filled with gingerbread people. "This holiday lights display is about so much more than celebrating the season," said Marcus Lamb, President and Founder of Daystar Television Network. "Our hope is that this attraction points people to the true meaning of Christmas and the eternal Light of the world, Jesus Christ. " In addition to adding Christmas Town, Daystar's Scratch Café will be open every Friday and Saturday in December for coffee, hot chocolate and cookies. Visitors will also have even more opportunities to make holiday memories when they gather to take photos at the interactive 8-foot "JOY" sign, or with Santa Claus himself when he visits each night Dec. 15-16 and Dec. 20-22. Everyone is invited to visit Daystar's Christmas lights and holiday attractions. More than 100,000 cars drive by the network's international headquarters everyday, and by adding new additions like Christmas Town and pictures with Santa, they hope even more people in the community will come and enjoy the holiday fun as they spend quality time with family and friends this Christmas season. Daystar's Christmas Town and the "JOY" sign will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends. The rest of the property's lights, including the life-sized nativity scene, will be open everyday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Scratch Café will be open Fridays and Saturdays, Dec. 1-16 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and every night Dec. 15-22 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Pictures with Santa will be open Dec. 15-16 and Dec. 20-22 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., as well as a special reading of the Christmas story Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. About Daystar Television Network Daystar Television Network is an award winning, faith-based network dedicated to spreading the Gospel 24 hours a day, seven days a week – all around the globe, through all media formats possible.
