Release of The Saga of Didrik of Bern

CARLISLE, U.K. - Nov. 3, 2017 - PRLog -- The saga tells the story of Didrik of Bern, who has been called the German King Arthur. It tells of his early rise, and how he gathered his unbeatable group of warriors, his quarrel with an evil uncle, and his years in exile at the court of Attila the Hun. Tales of other North-European legendary figures, such as Sigurd the dragon slayer and Wayland the smith are also interwoven with Didrik's story.

Ian Cumpstey lived in Sweden for several years where he worked as a lecturer in chemistry at Stockholm University. He has now returned to the UK and is based in north-eastern Cumbria. He works as an editor and translator, is an associate member of the Swedish to English Literary Translators Association, and has previous published translations of Scandinavian ballads.
