"Mirth Meets Earth" Will Change a Child's Perspective of the World!

NEW YORK - Oct. 13, 2017 - PRLog -- A new children's book series has launched, which will give kids the opportunity to learn about planet Earth in a fun and creative way. "Mirth Meets Earth" will explore different and amazing parts of the globe that are distinct and unique, in hopes to teach children to embrace not only the planet as whole, but each other as well.

Written by Michelle Glasser, "Mirth Meets Earth" will give children the ability to tap into their imagination all while learning about the reality of life that occurs on this place we call home. This is shared through Mirth: an extraterrestrial lovable, yet curious, Scottie Terrier, who casts a new set of eyes on planet Earth, giving each reader a fresh perspective. All the while, Mirth imparts a Geography 101 lesson about the seven continents.

In this first book, Mirth not only talks geography, but he also demonstrates his healthy curiosity about the world and the many different ways of life that exist among us Earthlings. It's in Mirth's first encounter with Earth that children will get a glimpse of what's outside their front doors and beyond their borders. Mirth's mission is to show readers that us Earthlings share something special (1 world, 7 enchanting continents), and we have more in common with each other than one might think.

Surely, it would be unrealistic to think a children's book series could fix all of our Earthly and societal ails. However, if "Mirth Meets Earth" could bring a fresh, outside perspective to the world and open children's eyes to the fact that the Earth is greater than the sum of its parts, then that's a step in the right direction. The overall goal is to show kids:

·         Incredible customs and a variety of ways of doing things (no one better than the other)

·         You have one shared planet that needs to be cared for, like we care for our bodies, minds, pets, plants and each other

·         Since we have this one shared planet, it's a good idea to learn to embrace one another—try to get along

"I believe it's vital that kids get thinking and inspired by their Earth early in life because as grown ups, we may just have to look to them some day for some important answers. After all, it takes time to think up innovative solutions, and it seems to me that's what our planet needs most; innovative solutions in a variety of areas!"  says Michelle.

Michelle spent her professional life as a healthcare copywriter for big NYC advertising agencies after graduating from Rutgers University. But it was her two curious toddler boys, who were eager to learn about the globe in her home office that sparked the Mirth Meets Earth fantasy.
