San Antonio Assisted Living Facility Owner Featured In Role Model Magazine

SAN ANTONIO - Sept. 29, 2017 - PRLog -- Starlight Homes is an assisted living facility in San Antonio that specializes in memory care. Andreen McDonald, co-owner of the facility, was recently featured in an article for Role Model Magazine.

McDonald, along with her husband Andre, both have personal experience in memory care. The two moved to Texas several years ago, after caring for Andre's grandmother in Jamaica. The two now operate two memory care facilities in San Antonio, one in Northern Hills Subdivision and the second in Alamo Heights.

McDonald was featured in the article and complimented on her role with Starlight Homes. As owner and manager of the facilities, she and Andre serve 28 residents currently and Andreen runs everything from marketing and human resources to operations. She tells the interviewer that her goal is to provide a warm and loving environment to all of their residents.

Residents at Starlight Homes range in age from 56 to 100 years. They range in care need as well. The facilities specialize in memory care, offering supervised care to those with Alzheimer's and dementia as well as those who simply can no longer manage daily tasks.

Andreen McDonald graduated high school in Jamaica and then earned her Associate's degree in marketing before she turned 18 years old. She married Andre and then moved to Florida and on to Texas. She earned a business degree in finance at the University of Texas in San Antonio before founding Starlight Homes where she, Andre and staff members now care for the elderly in a comfortable and relaxing home like setting.
