He drew inspiration for his book from the thousands of students who fail the board exams and are immediately branded as 'failures' by our society. He believes that marks do not define a person's future and that a person's capabilities should not be judged from the array of numbers displayed on their report card.

         The protagonist in this book leads a life that isn't perfect. He isn't interested in extra-curricular activities and he didn't clear his pre-boards. He does not adhere to the unrealistic expectations society places on a student's shoulders. He does not participate in the rat race, hence reminding us that life is far more than exams and results that are ascribed to one after testing their memory against unfair standards.
