The 2017 Ideal Standard designs revealed at at the Design Bathroom Centre in D

The Ideal Standard's Design Bathroom Centre, the first-of-its-kind in the MENA region is a luxury designed establishment of 1000 sq. meters that showcases the company's already successful complete bathroom solutions for all building types - DEA, Tonic II, Ventuno, Connect, Strada to name a few – as well as its bathroom mixers, counter tops and vessel basins. The highlight of the event, however, was the reveal of the 2017 launches: Connect Air and Tesi total bathroom solutions, and Ceraflex mixers.

The guest of honor and the absolute best person to introduce Connect Air and Tesi was none other than their creator, Mr Robin Levien. The world-renowned designer mesmerized the crowd, while presenting his designs, his inspiration and the latest design trends worldwide. Robin Levien is one of Europe's most consistently successful product designers of the last 25 years. Having established his own design company, Studio Levien, he has concentrated on designing domestic products for leading international companies. He has a special interest in ceramics since childhood, and has been working with Ideal Standard for over 30 years. His collections have won an impressive number of awards for innovation and sold millions of pieces.

Talking about his creation – the Connect Air range, Robin Levien said: "The Connect Air collection offers a comprehensive bathroom solution; it is all about lightness and provides a combination of practicality and affordable luxury. Back in 2009 I predicted that products would get lighter and advances in technology and engineering have made the slimming-down of products possible. Connect Air taps into the minimalistic trend for sleek and slim line interiors, which can now be transferred throughout the household to include the bathroom."

During the event, the guests were given an overview of Tesi, a collection of bathroom ceramics, furniture, baths and mixers, which combine perfectly together to create a versatile, quality bathroom. The collection is slender, elegant and agile: It's precisely adapted to suit environment and lifestyle needs, with its smooth lines performing effortlessly in every role and never failing to achieve perfect balance. The range features over 30 products that assemble a beautifully coordinated bathroom.

All the toilet bowls, in both Connect Air and Tesi ranges, are fitted with AquaBlade^TM flushing technology, offering the best aesthetic on the market, with superior hygiene, less splashing and noise reduction.  With AquaBlade^TM, the toilet flushes from the top of the bowl, washing the entire inner surface of the ceramic with no tricky to clean overhanging rim, keeping the toilet bowl immaculately clean and it is unique to Ideal Standard products.
